[cobirds] DFO field trip opportunities now

CoBirders,

DFO has some unique birding opportunities coming up in the next few weeks and beyond. Spaces are available on many trips, and others you can plan to register for when they open for registration.

I highlight a few trips here because we have some exciting county birding opportunities, and a great array of wide-ranging outings, in addition to local trips.

Our full line up is here:

Coming soon:
Aug 26 to Custer County sampling a diverse and lovely less-frequented county. We will be visiting Deweese Reservoir and more.
Aug 28 to Northeastern Colorado viewing shorebirds at legendary shorebirding hotspots.
Aug 29 to Northwestern CO targeting a reach into Rio Blanco County and birding in Routt and Grand counties, too.
Aug 31 we take a Gilpin Gamble seeking the jackpot in that small and challenging county-birding county. We will see some nice migrants.
Sept 6 we explore Chaffee County during migration. I note our roster has some local experienced knowledge on board for that trip :-)
Sept 9 DFO goes to North Park in Jackson County, promising a memorable outing that will be a great introduction to Mountain Park birding for those who haven't been up there. Do you know what a "mountain park" is here in Colorado?
Sept 11 to Old St. Vrain Road and Heil Ranch ending with lunch at Oskar Blues in downtown Lyons!
Sept 16 to Southeastern Colorado seeking shorebirds and migrant landbirds.

DFO field trips are free (but we do expect rides to reimburse drivers when carpooling). New trips are added regularly to our calendar, so keep on eye out for new developments.
