[cobirds] Melody of first 2021 Meadowlark

Yesterday (Sunday) while walking the perimeter of my yard one mile west of Severance,  I heard the sweet melody and then saw the first meadowlark of 2021.  What a welcome sound and appearance!
Also, it's not usual to have robins in our yard all winter long, but it is unusual to have a robin in the feeder.  We have a robin(s) picking out raisins from the mix.  Seeing their craving for fruit, I have been dicing up over ripe grapes and bruised apples.which they are eating.  They won't touch mealy worms which the juncos, chickadees, jays eat readily.  I have observed in years past, that the robins aren't yet in the Spring eating mode of filling their crops with the worms.   No need for a Groundhog--the robins in our yard let us know when it is Spring.
