documenting AKD (was: "Re: [cobirds] Another bird with a deformed...")

Thanks to Thomas Heinrich and David Leatherman and Gary Bower and others for their observations of birds showing AKD (avian keratin disorder).

Those are particularly dramatic cases, but, unfortunately, low-level expression is all over the place in Colorado--and indeed around the entire northern hemisphere.

Here are two ravens (downtown Boulder, Boulder County, Feb. 16, 2021) with mild expression:



It's really valuable to photo-document such birds--and to post photos at well-curated sites like the Macaulay Library (eBird) and iNaturalist.
