Colorado Christmas Bird Count Results update from this past winter.
201 bird species were found on the 49 Colorado CBCs that have been
entered into the CBC Website during count day, plus White-tailed
Ptarmigan that was found only during count week on the Aspen CBC.
Pueblo Reservoir found the most species 132 and Crook counted the most
birds with 114,110. Rarest birds all on the CBRC review list:
Gyrfalcon (2nd year in row for Loveland), Brant (Black) on the new
North Jeffco CBC, and Pacific Wrens on the Colorado Springs and
Penrose CBCs. Compilers and participants should look over the results
on the CBC Website, and if anyone sees any corrections, please let me
know.
