The new season of monthly meetings of Denver Field Ornithologists starts Monday night August 26 at 7pm. at Unity Spiritual Center of Denver, 3021 S University Blvd, Denver. Meetings are FREE and open to the public. You are welcome to arrive at 6:30 pm and meeting/program will start at 7pm.
Kelly Uhing, Denver’s city naturalist, and Vicki VargasMadrid, Wildlife Program administrator, will present Wild in the City: birds and habitats in Denver Parks. Both are members of Denver Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) Natural Resources Operations Team. Their primary responsibilities are vegetation management, including noxious weed control and restoration of native species, and wildlife monitoring and management throughout Denver Parks and Denver Mountain Parks.
