I saw my first-of-the-season Broad-tailed Hummingbird (mature male) here at 8000 feet in Coal Creek Canyon at 11:00 AM 4/20/2016. This is about a week earlier than I've seen them here in past years.
-- There is still a couple of feet of snow on the ground from the storm over the weekend and the feeder only thawed out an hour or so ago. Brave little bird!
