--A Chihuahuan Raven was reported by Gene Rutherford on February 29 at E Yale and E Jewell in Aurora.
ARCHULETA COUNTY:
--A m Williamson's Sapsucker was reported by Ben Bailey and Byron Greco on March 10.
--A Trumpeter Swan was reported by Barbara Johnson at Pagosa Lake on March 12.
BACA COUNTY:
--5 Canyon Towhees were reported by Laneha Everett in Picture Canyon on February 29.
--On March 12 at Carizzo and Cottonwood Canyons, Gloria Nikolai reported Chihuahuan Ravens, 3 Rufous-crowned Sparrows, Canyon Towhee, and McCown's Longspur.
BENT COUNTY:
--At Lake Hasty on March 13, Gloria Nikolai reported Red-bellied Woodpecker.
--At a cemetery N of John Martin on March 13, Gloria Nikolia reported Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
BOULDER COUNTY:
--On February 28, Jeff Parks reported Lesser Black-backed Gull at Baseline Reservoir in Boulder.
--On March 3, Gary Koehn reported a Curve-billed Thrasher at 3005 Center Green Dr in Boulder.
--On March 8, Phil Thorpe reported a singing male Northern Cardinal on Iris Ave between 4th St and 6th St.
--A Great Black-backed Gull was reported by Jack and Ryan Bushong at Boulder Reservoir on March 12.
--An ad Thayer's Gull was reported by Ted Floyd at Greenlee Preserve/Waneka Lake in Lafayette on March 12.
--A Gray Catbird was reported by Holden Maxfield, Jack and Ryan Bushong in Louisville on March 13.
CHAFFEE COUNTY:
--On March 8, Van Truan reported m Barrow's Goldeneye and Black Phoebe at Sands Lake SWA in Salida.
DENVER COUNTY:
--A Burrowing Owl was reported by Adam Vesely at 11345 Trussville near DIA on March 4. On March 5, Cheri Phillips and Renee Casias reported Burrowing Owl near DIA at fire training center. On March 6, Kim Mauritz reported a Burrowing Owl at 114th and Trussville. On March 8, Tom Behnfield reported Burrowing Owl at 112th and Trussviille in the Fire Dept enclosure.
EAGLE COUNTY:
--3 COMMON MYNA were reported by Ryan Marsh on Colorado River Road in Gypsum on March 7. Are they escapees or wild birds?
EL PASO COUNTY:
--A Gray Catbird was reported by Tyler Stuart at Sinton Pond in Colorado Springs on February 22. On March 3, Alan Versaw reported Gray Catbird at Sinton Pond.
--At Big Johnson on February 24, Mark Peterson and Alan Versaw reported Long-tailed Ducks and Burrowing Owl. On March 3, Mark Peterson reported Long-tailed Duck at Big Johnson. On March 5, Aaron Driscoll reported 2 Long-tailed Ducks at Big Johnson. On March 5, Chris Brobin reported Burrowing Owl at Big Johnson. On March 9, Alan Versaw reported Long-tailed Duck and Burrowing Owl at Big Johnson.
--A singing Bewick's Wren was reported by Steve Getty at Aiken Cnayon about 0.5 km up trail in pinon-juniper on February 27.
--On February 28 at Chico Basin Ranch, Gloria Nikolai reported 2 Ladder-backed Woodpeckers and Curve-billed Thrasher.
--On March 5, Jesse Casias and Adam Vesely reported Rusty Blackbird at 8790 Birdsall Road. On March 7, Cheri Phillips reported 2 Rusty Blackbirds on Birdsall Road.
--On March 6, Jesse and Renee Casias reported 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 2 Great Black-backed Gulls at Big Johnson.
--On March 14, Alan Versaw reported Great-tailed Grackle at Mallard Pond.
--On March 15, French Steward reported Chukar on N Calhan Hwy.
FREMONT COUNTY:
--On March 7, S of Florence on CR19 on backside of Federal Prison, Mark Peterson reported Black-throated Sparrow and Chestnut-collared Longspur.
GARFIELD COUNTY:
--On March 4, Sue Riffe and Gwen Moore reported 3 Tundra Swans and 22 Barrow's Goldeneyes near Carbondale on CR 106.
JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On March 1, David Suddjian reported 2 Long-tailed Ducks at Chatfield SP just south of North Boat Launch parking area and David Hill reported 3 Long-tailed Ducks near the swim beach at Chatfield.
--On March 1, Gerald Baines reported Gray Catbird at Main Reservoir in Lakewood.
--On March 3, Tim Mitzen reported a f Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at Norm D Memorial Park in Golden. It was actively feeding around the playground area. The Parking loot is on the west side of Ford St just north of Texas St.
--On March 7, David Suddjian reported f Barrow's Goldeneye N of Deer Creek Inlet at Chatfield SP.
--On March 11 at Falcon Ridge Cub Creek (S of Evergreen) Chuck Aid reported f Williamson's Sapsucker, and 3 American Three-toed Woodpeckers (2m, 1f).
--On March 12 Laura Steadman reported Great-tailed Grackle at Lower Church Lake.

--On March 11 at Neenoshe Reservoir, Steve Mlodinow reported Chestnut-collared Longspur.
KIT CARSON COUNTY:
--7 McCown's Longspurs were reported by Hugh Kingery on CR 10 near Flager on March 12.
LA PLATA COUNTY:
--A m Eurasian Wigeon was reported by Riley Morris in a field south of Pastorius Reservoir in Durango on March 3. On March 4, Jason St. Pierre reported Eurasian Wigeon in field south of Pastorius Reservoir and Ryan Votta and Vic Zerbi reported the Eurasian Wigeon on the water in a small open area. On March 5, Amy Dobbins and Jim Beatty reported Eurasian Wigeon at Pastorius Reservoir. On March 6, Beth Wolff reported Eurasian Wigeon at Pastorius Reservoir. On March 7, Jason St Pierre reported Eurasian Wigeon at Pastorius Reservoir. On March 13, Jim Beatty reported Eurasian Wigon at Pastorius Reservoir.
--A Sagebrush Sparrow was reported by Jason St. Pierre at the corner of CR 136 and CR134 about 40 minutes SW of Durango.
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Katy Shirley at Weasel Skin Bridge (CR 214) on March 12.
LARIMER COUNTY:
--On February 26 at Lake Loveland, Dave Leatherman reported ad Great Black-backed Gull.
--On February 27, Mark Miller reported ad Lesser Black-backed Gull at Horsehose Lake.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Nick Komar and Brad Biggerstaff on the CDC Campus in Fort Collins on March 10.
--A Great-tailed Grackle was reported by Nick Komar at Ryan Gulch Reservoir on March 13.
MESA COUNTY:
--3 Sagebrush Sparrows were reported by Rhonda Woodward and Rodene Harwood near the Utah border on old Hwy 6 and 50 on Februray 27.
--On February 28, Denise and Mark Vollmar reported 21 Sagebrush Sparrows at Brewster's Ridge/Bar X wash near the Utah Border.
--On February 29, Denise and Mark Vollmar reported 12 Sagebrush Sparrows at Blacktail Jacks.
MONTROSE COUNTY:
--On March 6, Coen Dexter reported that Black Phoebes have returned early to nesting sites at Uravan and along the San Miguel River.
He and Brenda check five sites and all sites had Black Phoebes.
OTERO COUNTY:
--4 Curve-billed Thrasher were reported by Chris Gilbert in Vogel Canyon on March 5.
PARK COUNTY:
--On March 5, Steve Mlodinow reported 6 Tundra Swans and 3 Barrow's Goldeneyes (2m, 1f) at Elevenmile Reservoir.
PROWERS COUNTY:
--On March 11, Gloria Nikolai reported 2 m Northern Cardinals and a Red-bellied Woodpecker at Lamar Community College Woods.
PUEBLO COUNTY:
--On February 27, Brandon Percival reported Eastern Phoebe at Pueblo Nature Center.
--On March 5, Gloria Nikolai and Adam Vesely reported ACORN WOODPECKER at Pueblo Mountain Park.
WASHINGTON COUNTY:
--A f Long-tailed Ducks was reported by Bill Kaempfer on the S side of CR 59.5 just east of US 6 on March 12. This is the middle road into Prewitt.
WELD COUNTY:
--On February 27, Dean Shoup and Nena Torres reported 2 Sharp-tailed Grouse on CR 136 W of CO 99.
--On February 27, Mark Miller reported ad Lesser Black-backed Gull at Highland Lake.
--On February 27, Robert Beauchamp reported Lapland Longspur at Pawnee NG.
--On February 29, Stee Mlodinow reported Lesser Black-backed Gull at Union Reservoir.
--On March 1, Amy Bauer reported Trumpeter Swans at North Star Reservoir at CR 19 and CR 8. If you would like to see the swans call her at 720-252-8900. On March 1, Dan Stringer was able to scope the swans from CR 8 and confirmed that they appear to be Trumpeter Swans.
--On March 3, Barbara Webb reported a pair of Mute Swans in Homestead Park in Greeley.
YUMA COUNTY:
--On February 27, Bez Bezuidenhout reported a pair of Northern Cardinal and Red-billed Woodpeckers at South Republican SWA (old Bonny SP).
DFO Field Trips:
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, March 19 will be to Chatfield State Park led by Ed Holub (edmund.holub AT gmail.com; 303-979-2194) Meet at 0800 at swim beach by entering west entrace of park of S Wadsworth, 1.5 mles south of C-470. State Parks pass or day pass required. Half-day trip. Dress for weather. Register online or contact leader.
The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, March 20 will be to Cherry Creek State Park led by Mary Keithler (mkeithler AT yahoo.com; 303-771-1421). Meet at 0800 at west marina parking lot. State Parks pass or day pass required. Will carpool to various stops and walk 1-2 miles. Bring binoculars,water,snacks, and sunscreen. Scopes are useful. Register online or contact leader
The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, March 20 will be to Roxborough State Park led by Doris Cruze (cruzeduo AT aol.com; 303-798-8072). Meet at 0815 at Visitor Center. Directions: Take S Wadsworth Blvd past Chatfield SP to Waterton Rd on left. Take Waterton Rd 1.6 miles east to North Rampart Rnage Road. TUrn right and go south 2.3 miles to ROxborough Park Rd. TUrn left (east) onto Roxborough Park Rd and the turn immediately right (south) on Roxborough Rd and follow signs to the Park (2.2 miles). State Parks pass or day pass required.
Will walk Fountain Valley trail, a 2.3 miles loop trail. Bring binoculars, water, and snacks. Dress in layers for changing weather conditions. Register online or contact leader.
