Has indeed begun, as well as dispersal of young. Two days ago I had several juv Snowy Egrets trying to convince me that they were, indeed, young Little Blue Herons. There are also juv California, RB, and Franklin's Gulls about. Shorebirds, of course, are well underway... if there was only more habitat this year (or maybe there is too much, with flooded field scattered about eastern CO).
