Today's male Prothonotary Warbler first spotted by Aaron Shipe, is not yesterday's female Prothonotary Warbler from the same location, first found by Bill Maynard.
Thanks to Steve Getty's cobirds post, I decided to make an afternoon trip to Fountain Creek Regional Park. It was great fun to see male Black-throated Blue, male Prothonotary, male Blackpoll, female Black-and-white Warblers all in the same small area, south of mile marker 18, near the Gazebo (watch out for two large bull snakes in the area). Also, present was a singing Northern Waterthrush, that I only heard. The male Black-throated Blue was singing off and on.
Good birding,
