This week:
Wood Duck pair - appear to be nesting on ground in thick willows. Gotta change that situation. Will install a nestbox Saturday early early a.m. prior to heading to grandkids soccer tournament (so gotta go) to see if I can lure them off-the-ground. If it doesn't work I'm pretty sure the resident fox or coyote will wipe-out the nest. While that's nature, I'd like to give them a fighting chance. They are beautiful; lived here for 30 yrs and have never seen a Wood Duck in Summit County. They are located in an area not heavily frequented by humans. When I tiptoe near enough for pics while maintaining a low profile (crawling from the car) they sense my presence and quietly get up and slowly walk deep into the willows. I don't blame them.
In same area, many Yellow-rump Warblers. At least 10 and more. Fun to watch them hit the water and take-off again, just like Swallows.

Bluebird pair in Summerwood - 5 eggs so far. She's not incubating yet so possibly one more to go.
