Re: [cobirds] Yellow Rail

The Yellow Rail continues this morning at Monte Vista NWR, at the spot described in Eric DeFonso's post. It sang once or twice around 5 am and then was silent until 5:45, when it began vocalizing almost constantly from a spot 75-100 yards SW of the parking lot, where it is easy to hear.

I suspect this bird will vocalize mostly at dawn and dusk. Huge thanks and congratulations to Eric DeFonso for this spectacular find.
