A lone female Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch showed briefly with House Finches etc in a small tree near my feeders this morning. Then a group of crows swooped in to the seed and the flock in the tree scattered for the time being. Unfortunately I had to leave for work before I could see if she returned. This is my 2nd yard record of the species in three winters, both just singles, and I have yet to see either actually at the feeders. Here's hoping for more soon.
