Dear COBirders,
-- Thanks to all who post to COBirds, and to those who participate just by monitoring the list.
As I noted a week or two ago, there has been a change to list rules regarding photographs, and now that the official list rules have been updated I wanted to post again about this to make sure list members are aware of the new possibility. The list rules are here:
1. Images of birds or other subjects directly pertinent to the report may be embedded in the body of the email post. (Do not include images as attachments to the email.). We look forward to seeing more images in COBirds posts. Of course, you can still include a link to images.
Allow me to highlight a couple of other ways in which posts can more closely follow the list rules.
2.Please be sure to include the full signature info specified by the rules, that is, your full name, city and state (or something similar if you are in a rural area and not a city). This is courteous information that allows readers to know who is posting. Anonymous posts are not permitted.
3. Subject lines should include something to reveal the content of the message, such as naming a species of interest and/or a key location and/or county or counties covered by the post.
Thanks again for all the great posts, and for those who seldom or never post, please know you are very welcome to do so.
Thanks,
David Suddjian
