During our monthly point counts today at Union, we observed a Yellow-billed Loon, a Pacific Loon, and a Barrow's Goldeneye in the southwest corner of the res. These birds might be observable from County Road 26, but there might be more ideal viewing inside the park (feet area- $10 per car at kiosk). There are tens of thousands of other birds there right now.
Regrets for the late note, couldn't get to it until after work.
