of country roads, and we found 39 species, including one RLHA, 1 HASP, 10 BAEA, 4 GHOW, 132 AMRO, 1 PRFA and 1 immature GOHA.
Here is the trip report showing our bird journey. https://ebird.org/tripreport/37477
The highlight was finding an immature Northern Goshawk that we flushed
out of a juniper hedge row into a cottonwood tree at Cottonwood SWA South, an eastern
hot spot in Morgan County, north of the town of Hillrose.
This seems to be the second sighting in Morgan for eBird, first the being in 2013
at Narrows Dam site, much further west along the Platte. Photos of the NOGO are
included in this checklist and one attached here. https://ebird.org/checklist/S102403282
