The reservoir itself and much of the land around it is private, but there is suitable viewing from Cherryvale Rd on the west side, and from the trail heading SW from the nearby Dry Creek trailhead. 

Also out there this morning were about 20 Western Grebes, about 20 Pied-billed Grebes, an immature Bald Eagle trying really hard (but unsuccessfully) to catch Coots, and Hooded and Common Mergansers.  Chris Petrizzo found a latish Blue-gray Gnatcatcher in the trees on the W side of Cherryvale.
