ARAPAHOE COUNTY:

—On October 24 (5) Black Sctes were reported at Cherry Creek SP by Diane Roberts.


BOULDER COUNTY:

—On October 24 (8) Surf Scoters and were reported in Boulder at Baseline Reservoir by Andrew Chang.   A Common Loon was also observed.

—On October 23 a Blackpoll Warbler was reported in Boulder at  2400 57th Street by Steve Larson.

—On October 23 a Blackpoll Warbler was reported in Longmont along Dry Creek, west of Airport Road, by David Dowell.

—On October 24 a Black-throated Green Warbler and a Wood Thrush were reported in Boulder at  29th Street where it crosses over the small creek near Baseline Road.    The Wood Thrush was further east along the creek, almost to 30th Street.   Also seen in this vicinity are Townsend's Warbler, Nashville Warbler and Hermit Thrush.  The Black-throated Green Warbler was first reported on October 19 by Nick Moore.  The Wood Thrush was first reported on October 23 by Nathan Pieplow.

—On October 23 a Black-throated Green Warbler and a Palm Warbler were reported in Longmont at Meadowview Park (617 barberry Dr.) by David Dowell.

—On October 21 a Blackburnian Warbler was reported in Longmont at Meadowview Park (last reported at Oakwood Dr and Barberry Dr, south of the fire station) by David Dowell.  


DOUGLAS COUNTY:

—On October 25 a Black Scoter was reported at Chatfield SP, Original Heronry Overlook, by Joey Kellner.

—On October 19 an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER was reported at Chatfield SP—Plum Creek Delta; first reported there and at the Marina Sandspit October 12 by Joey Kellner. It was accompanied by other shorebirds, including Black-bellied Plover, Dublin and Pectoral Sandpiper.


GARFIELD COUNTY:

—On October 22 a Surf Scoter was reported at Harvey Gap SP & Grass Valley Reservoir by JoAnn Potter Riggle.


JEFFERSON COUNTY:

—On October 23 a Pine Warbler was reported in Lakewood at the pond by Lakeview Towers at Belmar Apts. (679 S. Reed Ct.) by Steve Mlodinow.  This is also known on e-bird as "stakeout Yellow-throated & Prairie Warblers, Lakewood 2017".

—On October 24 a Magnolia Warbler and a Black-throated Green Warbler were reported at Denver West Office Park, building 6.  The Magnolia Warbler was first reported on October 20 by Kevin DeBoer.  The Black-throated Green Warbler was first reported on October 23 by Mar Chavez.


LARIMER COUNTY:

—On October 22 a Pacific Loon was reported at the south end of Douglas Reservoir.  First reported October 19 by John Shenot.


MESA COUNTY:

—On October 22 a sub adult male BROAD-BILLED HUMMINGBIRD was reported at a private residence in Palisade.  The address is 566 36 Road (East Orchard Mesa ).  The house is at the end of a long driveway just across from the fire station.  The house is on the right side of the drive. The hummer is still coming in on a regular basis to the driveway feeder.  Best time for viewing is in mornings when the sun is on the driveway feeder.  It is in the shade after 2 pm.  Visitors are welcome to view FROM THE DRIVEWAY and park along the driveway.  First reported on September 28 by Gene Byrne.  This would be the fourth state record, the first in 2002 was also in Mesa County.

—On October 21 a Surf Scoter was reported at Horsethief State Canyon Wildlife Area by Joshua Martinez.


YUMA COUNTY:

—On October 19 a SPRAGUE'S PIPIT was reported in Hale at (39.6411389,-102.1495000) aka "Pipit Hill".  (3) First reported on October 5 by David Dowell.
