He and his late spouse Melody fought the ditch company and saved the trees that make up the Melody Tempel Grove. It is Gale who spends his own time and money on plants, chairs, nest boxes, a canopy and that famous cooler of drinks we get to enjoy. We owe him thanks (and spelling his first name right).
