Hi Tony,
-- Check eBird, and see the pins in the town of Golden. There are sometimes Brown-caps there. There are also brown caps in the mountains behind boulder. Let me know when you're coming in and I can help you out.

Hello Birders
I will be visiting the Denver area from March 18 to 20, and would like to see Brown-capped Rosy-Finch within about 2 hours of Denver if possible. Are there any publicly-viewable feeders that might have these, now that the Fawnbrook Inn has closed? Or any feeder-owners who might welcome a finch enthusiast? And that I don't need to ride a ski-lift to get to?
Any help would be much appreciated,
Tony Briggs,
Petaluma, CA
